Just back from 3 wks in Turkey, where I tried a few yoga classes, and would have taught as well, if it weren't for that darned incident of food poisoning while staying in Olimpos near the Med. sea!
I will be teaching Saturday Hatha yoga classes at the Vancouver Lawn Tennis & Badminton Club in July and August, for anyone of you who are members.
And I hope to offer classes at the East Broadway studio again, perhaps a September/October yoga session once summer holidays are over.

In Sanskrit, the word "hatha" combines two words: ha, which means "the breath of the sun" (prana), and tha, "the breath of the moon" (apana).
In the ebb and flow of the tides, there is an inward and outward motion of the waves. Just as in breath, there is a wave-like upward motion as we inhale to take in new energy through breath and a downward motion, as we expel stale energy.
Ebb and Flow Yoga seeks to integrate mind, body and breath into each class, seeking balance in the opposites of movement and stillness, tension and release.
